Job Description
We are searching for an experienced Head of Sales lead our Sales Team in the United States. This business-critical leader is responsible for managing all Sales Business, Distribution Channels, and Deployment of Sales and Marketing for ALR Technologies in the United States. The ideal candidate will be a proven and successful leader with in-depth industry experience and a true passion for Medical Device Medicine. The right candidate must have a record of building high-performance sales teams, exceptional project management skills, the ability to build outstanding relationships with internal and external customers and a strong work-ethic with proactive communication skills that encourage courageous conversations. This strategically aware leader will be responsible for implementing the marketing and sales plans based on company goals that will promote growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. Specific responsibilities will include business and market development, customer and distribution management, management of market research, strategic direction for promotion and advertising, sales growth, and overall customer satisfaction. This Head of Sales will also oversee the sales team members’ daily activity and professional development. As a rapidly growing company, we need someone who can utilize vision, think strategically, and develop strategies for key accounts in Diabetes centers of excellence in key Markets while building an industry leading strategic team.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate company’s sales and marketing functions
- Work with established International Distribution Partners to expand and grow ALRT business
- Develop and coordinate ALRT’s sales cycle and methodology
- Direct and oversee the international marketing function to identify and develop new customers and markets for ALRT products and services
- Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
- Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets
- Plan and coordinate international public affairs and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach
- Directly manage major and developing client accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials
- Represent the company at various international and/or business meetings to promote the company
- Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs
- Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors
- Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations
- Develop and implement powerful key account strategies in large Diabetes centers of excellence in order to establish, grow, and maintain ALRT’s business
- Build and lead a team of highly successful, productive, and professional corporate account directors to support the national ALRT strategy for key account management
- Lead within a cross functional and matrix environment (sales, client services, marketing, etc.) to create account specific successes
- Develop high level key opinion leader relationships
- Identify trends and opportunities in the comprehensive molecular profiling space and utilize
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, or related field required
- 10+ years minimum experience in Medical Device Sales and Marketing Leadership
- Prior healthcare experience (in vitro diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical, etc.)
- Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
- MBA (Preferred)
